#6「看哪，我們已經撇下所有的跟從你了！」

彼得就對他說：「看哪，我們已經撇下所有的跟從你了！」 耶穌說：「我實在告訴你們：人為我和福音撇下房屋或是弟兄、姐妹、父母、兒女、田地， 沒有不在今世得百倍的，就是房屋、弟兄、姐妹、母親、兒女、田地，並且要受逼迫；在來世必得永生。

馬可福音 10:28-30

主啊,

我相信彼得看見那富有的年青人憂憂愁愁的離開,心裏面一定產生不安,因為連這行為完美、緊守律法、家道豐盛、又願意追求真理的少年人，都不能進天國,彼得又有什麼盼望呢? 但我不得不欣賞彼得的勇敢和率直,我相信在我有生之年，我都未必能說出 “我已經撇下所有的跟隨你了”這句說話. 彼得並不是個完全人，我也一樣,如果今天我帶著真誠卻無知的自信，對上帝作出相似的承諾，並不是因為我自誇驕傲，我只是覺得我好像彼得一樣直率坦誠 。

主啊，請你接受我的真誠、寬恕我的愚昧! 但我知道主你滿有慈愛,願意包容我的軟弱, 你不介意我愚昧的回應,煩厭的發問、甚至我無知的自信。今天 ，我反思究竟我有沒有為你撇下什麼? 曾經為你捨棄的是不是我生命裏可有可無的東西? 還是真的叫我感到割肉之痛的貨財、身份、成就? 無論怎樣，都求你悅納，就憑著我有好像彼得一樣的一顆赤子之心，在神面前誠實坦蕩，這都是你所喜悅的，我相信無論我以為自己已經為你撇下了什麼，都只是你要為我建造更豐盛的生命的一個開始！先捨去、 後得著，不就是你用你的一生來證實的一個真理嗎?

#6 “We’ve given up everything to follow you,”

“Then Peter began to speak up. “We’ve given up everything to follow you,” he said.

“Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, 30 will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life.”

Dear Lord,

I believe that when Peter saw the rich young man leaving sadly, he must have felt uneasy in his heart, because even this young man with perfect behavior, a firm grasp of the law, a rich family, and a willingness to pursue the truth could not enter the kingdom of heaven, what hope is there for him, Peter? But I must say that I admire Peter's bravery and straightforwardness. I believe that in my lifetime, I may not be able to say to you, "Jesus, I have left everything to follow you."

Peter is not a perfect man, and neither am I. If today I make a similar promise to God with sincere but ignorant confidence, it is not because I am boastful and proud. I just feel that I am as straightforward and honest as Peter. Please accept my offering of sincerity, but forgive my ignorance! Lord, I know that you are full of love and willing to tolerate my weakness. You don’t mind my foolish responses, annoying questions, and even my ignorant self-confidence.

Lord Jesus,

Today, as I reflect on whether I have left anything for you, is what I have given up for you something dispensable in my life? Or is it the wealth, status, and achievements that I struggle and sweat to give up? No matter what it is, please accept it, just because I have a simple heart like Peter, and I am honest and forthright before God. May all these be enough and pleasing to you. I believe that no matter what I think I have left behind for you, it is just the beginning of a journey that you desire to transform me to reflect an abundant life! “To give in order to gain”, isn’t it the truth you have been showing us your whole life on earth?
