親愛的主，

當我思考這段話中的「擁有一切」這個短語時，我想到了「依附」(attachment 這個詞。用依納爵的話來說，靈性紀律的練習之一要求我們認真地審視我們無節制的執著依附。過度的依附或作依戀是指任何妨礙遵行和尋求神的旨意的事。任何我重視或依戀超過上帝本身的事物都可能變成一種過度的依附。文中的這個年輕人是「擁有一切」的人；他的心、他的頭腦、他的靈魂都被他所擁有的東西所充滿和滿足，無論是物質的東西還是關係、成就或地位……。

主啊，此時此刻，我向我的內心深處看，發現自己常常對自己的表現不滿意，這是否是你要我除掉的過分的依附呢？一旦我讓這些依附生根，我就無法體驗到真正的自由。

我今天的祈禱是找出任何過度依戀的痕跡，以便我可以帶到在您的寶座前請求寬恕和幫助。我渴望看著你的眼睛，感受到你充滿愛的目光，讓我感受到你對我的“真愛”，就像你對經文中的愛那年輕人樣。

“Looking at his disciples, Jesus said, “Do you have any idea how difficult it is for people who ‘have it all’ to enter God’s kingdom?””

Dear Lord,

As I was pondering on the phrase “have it all” in this passage, the word “attachment” comes to mind. In Ignatius term, one of the spiritual discipline exercises requires us to examine our inordinate attachments seriously. Inordinate attachment is anything that is getting in the way of doing and seeking God’s will. Anything that I value or attach to more than God himself can become an inordinate attachment. This young man in the passage is one that “have it all”; his heart, his mind and his soul are filled with and satisfied by things that he owns, whether it is material things or relationship, achievements or status….

Lord, in this moment, I look inside of my heart and find that I am often not satisfied with my performance, is this an inordinate attachment you desire for me to get rid of? As soon as I allow these attachments to take root, I cannot experience true freedom.

My prayer today is to identify any traces of inordinate attachment so that I can lay before your throne and ask for forgiveness and help. It is my desire to look into you eyes, to feel you loving gaze that you feel “ genuine love” for me just like you did for the young men in the passage.

Thank you. Lord for loving me with all my imperfection. Amen
